I grew up in Ocean View, Delaware and attended Duke University for college, where I majored in Biophysics and met my wife-to-be, Ester. After graduating I moved to New Orleans where I studied thrombosis and hemostasis at the LSU Health Sciences Center. I attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and continued translational research at the intersections of traumatic injury, hematology, and immunology. Ester and I couples matched together and have been loving Charlottesville. In my free time I enjoy long-distance running, hiking, cooking / baking, and spending time with wife and cat, Sasha.
