Hello everyone, my name is Prisca Obidike. I was born in Newark, New Jersey, but moved to Nigeria as a child with my family. I spent most of my childhood in Nigeria, which allowed me to embrace the rich culture of Nigerian food, music, and art and inspired me to pursue medicine. I returned to the U.S. to attend college at Lincoln University, PA, and following college, I attended medical school at Penn State.

I am thrilled to join the UVA General Surgery family due to the robust training opportunities, camaraderie among faculty and residents, and unique patient population. I am interested in transplant, cardiothoracic and global surgery. I enjoy outdoor activities, making new recipes, painting, dancing to afro-beats, and traveling.
