My name is Steven Young but most people call me Steve. I was born and raised here in Charlottesville, VA, except for college when I attended JMU and studied computer science and mathematics. My future interests lie in cardiothoracic surgery especially with valve repair because it helped save someone who was very close to me. Thanks to my background I have a fascination with the intersection of technology and medicine, particularly in the area of machine learning and imaging. In my spare time I enjoy working out, building computers for my friends, watching/playing sports (especially football), hiking and working on iPhone apps. I love UVA and I’m ecstatic to get to stay here for my training. The commitment to patients and teamwork inspires me on a daily basis and I look forward to contributing!
