I am humbled, honored, and excited to become part of the UVA General Surgery family. At its core, the program’s excellent training, collegial and collaborative culture, along with its world-class mentors, provides surgical residents with unlimited opportunity as well as a supportive environment in which to excel. Born and raised along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, I attended the University of Virginia for both Undergraduate and Medical School. I am incredibly fortunate to follow in the footsteps of several of my mentors by training at UVA and look forward to upholding the tradition of excellence for which UVA Surgery stands. Outside the hospital, I am an avid bicyclist who has conquered many of the mountains of the Tour de France as well as the scenic back roads and hills of Charlottesville, Virginia. I also enjoy time on the water surfing, fly fishing, and hanging with my dog, Savannah.  I am interested in pursuing Thoracic/CT Surgery.
