Michaela Cunningham, MD

UVA Surgery resident Michaela Cunningham

Research Resident
Medical School: University of Virginia

I’m Michaela, a general surgery categorical intern originally from Maryland. I then spent 4 years in Nebraska (Go Big Red) where I studied biological sciences and mathematics. I then bounced right back to the east coast and spent the next four years here at the University of Virginia, where I fell in love with the field of general surgery, and this program in particular. Although I don’t currently have any particular area of interest, I love intra-abdominal cases and pathology. UVA General Surgery has felt like home to me since very early in my clinical experience, and I hope you feel the same.
