I love the supportive and family culture UVA Surgery provides! I wanted to train in an environment that would support me during the toughest times and UVA Surgery truly embodies that type of program. I’ve been able to form long- lasting relationships with both faculty and co-residents that I know I will continue to maintain even long after I’m done with my training. Residency is hard enough. Having a family who understands what it is like and actively plays a role in getting you through it is key.
I successfully completed a productive 2 years of research, have excelled and grown as a surgeon and an individual, and am now looking forward to completing my Pediatric Surgery Fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital next year.
