Katherine Marsh, MD

We are so lucky you are considering the University of Virginia for surgical residency! Having attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for both undergrad and medical school (Bear Down!), the incredible program at UVA inspired me to uproot from the Southwest and move across the country to Charlottesville. Originally arriving with only my husband and cat in 2018, our first daughter was born in 2021 and we are now expecting our second daughter. Charlottesville has been such a wonderful place to grow our family.
 

Ultimately I hope to practice pediatric surgery in an academic setting, and am passionate about both advocacy and surgical research. I am so grateful to be training at UVA and couldn’t imagine completing residency anywhere else. Feel free to reach out with questions; I’d be happy to talk further.
