Jolian Dahl, MD
3rd Year Resident
Medical School: Emory University
After enjoying my years in the Rocky Mountains during and after undergrad, I decided to move back to my concrete and Appalachian stomping grounds for medical school. UVA was my last residency interview, and besides feeling the allure of a small town in the mountains I thought similar to Boulder, I was struck by the sense of collaboration and camaraderie that permeates the department of surgery. I had also dabbled in aortic disease research in medical school, so was attracted by the opportunity to spend dedicated time in the aortic aneurysm lab.
