Welcome! I was born and raised in Michigan and went to Cornell for undergrad. After going to med school in New York City, I was ready for a change of pace and could not be happier with Charlottesville. It’s small enough to be very livable but also a lively college town with many great restaurants, a music scene, and unlimited outdoor activities.

Our program’s culture is fantastic. We support each other as a family and place a lot of value in activities outside surgery residency too, whether it’s getting involved in housestaff leadership or fun outside the hospital such as floating the Rivanna. We strike an excellent balance of autonomy and great teaching from both our faculty and co-residents and have an unbeatable structured education program.

I am interested in pursuing a career in Breast Surgery. Outside the hospital, I enjoy traveling (sometimes internationally with co-residents!), reading, trying new restaurants and wineries, running, and going to concerts on the Downtown Mall.
