Amy Cohee, MD

Amy Cohee

Chief Resident
Medical School: East Tennessee State

My name is Amy Cohee (she/her), and I hail from a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. My parents still live on that farm, but I moved to south for all my post-high school education. I was drawn to UVA General Surgery due to the collegiality and enthusiasm of the residents. I also liked the opportunity to be involved in academic surgery in a program without a large number of fellows. I am married to a family medicine attending, and we have two small boys. I enjoy hiking and biking in the area.
