My name is Alex Wisniewski and I was born and raised in Toledo, OH where I completed all of my schooling.  Moving to Charlottesville, VA has been my first major life move and I couldn’t be happier with the city’s atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. My future interests lie in adult cardiac surgery, likely in the academic setting teaching residents and completing research. Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my fiancé, spoiling my nieces and nephews, and doing any outdoor activity, mainly hiking and snowboarding. The culture of excellence and operative experience is what mainly attracted me to UVA. Since finishing my first year, that concept has only been strengthened.
